CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 6699
ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK ON TI1E WEST
SIDE OF EIGHT11 STREET BE00EEN PORTOLA AVENUE AND WESTLINE DRIVE,
CALLING FOR. BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared SpecificatAons, Special Provlsions and Plans for
the construction of Portland Cement Concrete Sidewalk on the west side of Eighth Street between
Portola Avenue and Westline Drive, numbered PW 10-64-28 and filed in the office of the City Clerk
on October 20, 1964,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 139 THE COUNCIL OF THE cm OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Speci-
fications and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized,
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive seated bids up
to the hour of 11:00 a.m. on FRTDAY, OCTOBER 30, 1964, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinabove referred In in accord-
ance with said Specifloatlons and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the
City Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and'plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for
the Construction of Portland Cement Concrete Sidewalk on the west side of Eighth Street between
Fortela Avenue and Westijne Drive", or '1 1)31 designation,
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder '14 submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved
to reject any or all bids,.
Sald Specifications and Pnovisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed ro advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolunon and of said Specifieat'ions
and Provisions.
