Resolution 06770CITY OF AL1EDA RESOLUTION NO. 6770
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDED AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY OF
ALAMEDA RELATING TO JOINT PURCHASING PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 6722, adopted December 15, 1964, this City entered
into s joint pouvrs agreement with the County of Alameda by which the County may act as purchasing
agent for the City of Alameda when requested to do so, in consideration of which the City agreed
to pay County four per cent (47,) of the price of any items so purchased: and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of said County proposes that said commission or service
charge of four per cent (47,) be eliminated and that said County purchases be performed for the City
without cost; and
WHEREAS, a form of amended agreement accomplishing said change has been submitted and it
will be in the best interests of City to enter into same,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Mayor of the
City of Alameda be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute on behalf of said City an amended
agreement, substantially in the form proposed, with the County of Alameda, which agreement relates
to performance by County of requested City purchasing functions, and the City Clerk is directed to
attest same.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
6th day of April, 1965, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Freeman, La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
