RESOLUTION DECLARING COPIES OF THE UNIFORM BUILDING CODE,
1964 EDITION, PLACED ON FILE WITH THE CITY CLERK TO BE
PUBLIC RECORDS; SETTING THE TIME AND PLACE OF PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF SAID CODE BY REFERENCE, AND
DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF SAID HEARING,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that Volume I of the Uniform Building
Code, 1964 Edition, by the International Conference of Building Officials, with changes, additions
and deletions therein indicated, as the Primary Code, and Volume III of said Uniform Building Code,
as the Secondary Code, three certified copies of each of which were this day placed on file with the
City Clerk, are hereby declared to be public records and availavle for public inspection; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a public hearing on the adoption of said Code as the Alameda
Building Code by reference to said documents filed with the City Clerk as public rezords is hereby
scheduled to be held in the Council Chambers of the City Hall on Tuesday, the 763 day of September,
1965. at the hour of 7:30 p.m.; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause notices of said
hearing to be published twice in the official newspaper, once at least eight days preceding the
hearing and once at least fifteen days preceding the hearing, with at least five days intervening
between the respective publication dates, not counting such publication dates. Such notice shall
state the time and place of the hearing, and that copies of the Primary Code and the Secondary Code
being considered for adoption are on file with the City Clerk and are open to public inspection and
shall further comply with the requirements of Section 50022.3 of the Government Code of California.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
3rd day of August, 1965, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Bartley, La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None,
