FACILITIES FOR USE OF AUTOMATED STATEWIDE AUTO THEFT INQUIRY
SYSTEM,
WHEREAS, the Automated Statewide Auto Theft in 1J151 System instituted and maintained by
the California Highway Patrol identified as Auto-Static is opemational, and
WHEREAS, the full benefits of this program are available to all local law enforcement
agenkies in California choosing to participate in the service, and
WHEREAS, it will be necessary to have real time access to the system to obtain the full
benefits therefrom, and
WHEREAS, communications with the California Highway Patrol in Sacramento is an essential
factor in the full utilization of this system, and
WHEREAS, the County of Alameda can economically and expeditiously provide such communica-
tions service for all how enforcement agencies in the county,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TRE COUNC11 OF Tilt. CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council.
does hereby request the County of Alameda to provide a communications system with the California
Highway Patrol that will furnish this City with an-line service in the said Allto-Statis program.
