WEEREA8, Mr. Cranston had been diligent in the performance of his duties during the fifteen years of his service and had teen ever •mindful cf the best in- terests of the City; and EHEREAF, r Cranston had been most knowledgeable in his craft and had been highly respected as a businessman in the community and for his integrity and sense of impartiality in his subsequent capacity as a City Inspector; and WHBBEAS, Mr. Cranston was a very cooperative and aff able. person and was held in great affection by all of hic . fellow vbrRers and the many friends. he had made through his interest and participation in several civic an6 fraternal activities. TILDREFURE, DE IT RESOLVED that, in recognitipn of his many years of dependable and. competent workmanship on behalf of the City, the Council of the City of Alameda does hereby express its gratitude for the excelleht service riven by Er. Cranston, are its sense of personal loss of a true friend.
