Resolution 06880CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 68H0 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN MEMORIAM ALDONSE DIALOT RETIRED CITY EMPLOYEE. WITH HEARTFELT SORROW, the Council of the City of Alameda records the death of one of its former loyal employees, ALDONSE DIALOT. WHEREAS, Mr. Dlalot had started his employment with the City on January lb, 1923, as a Gardener in the Park Department and, by his conscientious and capable efforts, he had earned promo- tions through the years to the several posts of Groundskeeper, Head Groundskeeper and finally, Assistant Labor Supervisor, which position he held at the time of his retirement on September 30, 1949. NOW, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Alameda acknowledges with gratitude the satisfactory work performed by this very dependable employee who gave twenty-six years of excellent service to the City in a spirit of cooperation and friendship with all of his Fellow employees and the citizens with whom he came in contact. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda does hereby express its sense of personal loss and directs that this resolution be spread in full upon the minutes Of this meeting and a copy thereof be forwarded to the family of Mr. Dialot in order to convey a message of condolence to its members in their bereavement, HE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when this meeting of the Council of the City of Alameda adjourns, it shall do so in respect to the memory of ALDONSE DIALOT, * * * * * * 5, * * * 1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 16th day of November, 1965, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: Councilmen Bartley, La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5). WHEREAS, the following described real property, situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, to wit: PORTION of Lots 16, 17 and 18 in Block 6 as said lots and block are shown on the "Map of Lands Adjacent to the Town of Encinal, Alameda County, Cal., Surveyed by Jas. T. Stratton, May 1, 1667", filed May 28, 1867, is the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County, described as follows: BEGINNANC at n point on the eastern line of Chestnut Street, distant thereon 100 feet southerly from the southern line of Lincoln, formerly Railroad Avenue, as said street and avenue are shown on said map; running thence along said line of Chestnut Street southerly 58 feet, 9 inches; thence parallel with said line of Lincoln Avenue easterly 150 feet; thence parallel with said line of Chestnut Street northerly 58 feet, 9 inches; and thence parallel with said line of Lincoln Avenue westerly 150 feet to the point of beginning, has been assessed heretofore for City purposes for the fiscal year L965-1966 and taxes levied thereon in the sum of 564.44 are uncollected and unpaid; and WHEREAS, after the time said taxes became n lien on said real property, it was, by Grant Deed recorded on October 15, 1965, Reel 1620, Image 536, in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County, acquired, and ever since has been and now is owned by the Alameda Unified School Dis- trict, and has been and now is being used for public purposes, and because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, with the written con- sent nf the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes charged or levied for City purposes upon the aforesaid real property, together with penalties and costs thereon, be, and the same are hereby, cancelled, and the Auditor and the Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed to cancel the same on their respective books, 1, Frederick M. Cunningham, City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of California, do hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessments, and penalties and costs thereon, charged or levied for City purposes upon the parcel of real property described in the within Resolution.
