CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 6917
RESOLUTION CF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY Of ALAMEDA IN MEMORIAM
TO FRANCIS G. MacGINNIS.
WITH HEARTFELT GRIEF, the Council of the City of Alameda records the death of one of its
civic-minded citizens, FRANCIS G. MacGINNIS, who had been a member of the City Planning Board from
November 13, 1956, until June 30, 1959.
WHEREAS, Mr. MacGinnis had served on this important Board conscientiously and capably
and had ever been most cooperative with the others involved in this phase of City responsibility; and
WHEREAS, Mr, MacCinnis had been highly respected In the community for his participation
in the worthwhile programs of civic and fraternal organizations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED that, in recognition of his contribution of personal
service to the City on behalf of its citizens and his friendliness toward all of his associates,
the Council of the City of Alameda hereby expresses its sadness et the loss of this fine man and
its appreciation of his innate kindness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Ibis resolution be spread in full upon the minutes of this
meeting and that a copy thereof be forwarded to the family of 31r. MacGlnnis in order to extend to
its members a sincere expression cf sympathy in their bereavement; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when this meeting of the Council of the City of Alameda
adjourns, it shall do so in respect to the memory of FRANCIS G. MacGTNNIS.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
15th day of February, 1966, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Bartley, La Croix, Jr., McCall, Rose and President Godfrey, (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None.
