Resolution 06925206 CITY OF ALAMEDA RasouTliN No. 6925 AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF SETTLEMENT OFFER BY GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY, AND AUTHORIZI.NG CITY ATTORNEY TO COMPROMISE LITILATION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that, good cause appearing, an offer of settlemert in the amount of S30,000.00 by General Electric Company in an action pending in the District Court of the United States for the Northern District of California. Southern DIvision, entitled, "City of Alameda, a municipal corporation, plaintiff, vs. General Electric Company, arid others, defendants," and numbered Civil Action No 40500 in the filas therein, he on the same hereby is accepted on behalf of the City; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, in accordance with Sections S-2 and 8-5 of the Charter oF the City of Alameda, the City Attorney and Joseph L. Allot°, Esq., special attorney in said Liti- gation, are, and each is, hereby authorized and empowered to receive said money on behalf of the City and to execute and deliver all pleadings or documents, and to do all things necessary to effect the compromise and settlement herein authorized and accepted. * * * * * * * * the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing.
