COOPERATIVE LIBRARY SYSTEM (CITY 02' al.AMDOA, CITY OF RICHNOND, COUNTY
OF AAMEDA COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA), ar alErHORIZIV, EXECUTTON =REM
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 6549, adoptwd Jausary 1, 1964, authorized the Alameda Free
Library to participate with other pablic libraries pursuant to the state Public Library Develop-
ment Act, and said Library has participated in joint planning pith other agenc;es; and
WHEREAS, funds under said Act have become available and it is necessary and desireable
that all the participating local agencies enter into an agrecarent for the adtia ni stra La on and
encumbrance of said funds; and
WHEREAS, a form of sAid agreement has beer prepared and presented to this Council for
approval and the Council finds it is in the CiL 's interest to become a party thereto;
NOM THEREFORE, LE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL, OF TEE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the certain
Joint Powers Agreement, establishing and adadnistering the East Bey Cooperative Library System,
the parties to which are the City ef Alameda, the City of Richmondy the County of Alameda eAd
the Csunty of Contra Costa, a copy of iihich has been filed in the offace of the City Clerk and
marked 'Filed, july 5, 1966," he and the same hereby is approved.
BB TT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is hereby authorized to execute, and ane City
Clerk 00 10 said agreement on behalf of the City of Alameda.
