AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF MODIFICATION OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CITY AND STATE OF CALIFORNIA RELATING TO jOINT PARTICIPATION
IN REPLACEMENT' OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTROLLERS AT CERTAIN
INTERSECTIONS.
GBP:BEAR, pumahant to Resolutddo No. 6911, adopted by this Council on February 15, 1966, the
City ehtered into a contract with the State of California, actin?, by and through the Division of
Highways of. its Department of Public Works, providina for joint participotiog by said parties in. the
replacement of exist;vg traffic signal controllers at certain inthraectIons of public streets within
the City; end
WHEREAS, due to inflationary costs of materials required therefor, there has bean proposed
an amendment or modification to said. agreement which increases the State's financial participation in
said project from 66,000.00 to 99,000.00, and it. is lo. the best public interest said modification be
made,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OE' THE OTTE OF ALAMEDA that 1 e Mayor be and
hereby is authorized to execute on behalf of the City an amendment to the agreement hereinabove
referred to, in substantially the form of that filed with the City Clerk and denominated "Modification
of Agreement No. 1-191902,9 and said Clerk is hereby difected to attest to said execution.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
6th day of September, 1.96 h, by the following vote, to Nit;
