9E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE LITY OF ALAMEDA that Wegition 2 of Resolution No. 6974,
adopted June 28, 1966, be amended:
(A) By creating one (1) additional position of Police Lieutenant in the Police
Department, as follows:

BE IT FURTHER dESOLVED that the creation of the one additional position of Prlice Lieu-
tenant as set forth in Paragraph (A) hereinabove shall become effective on January 1, 1967.
BE IT FTITHER RESOLVED that the creation of the one and one-half additional positions of
Librarian I, as set forth in Paragraph (B) hereinabove shall become effective on December 1, 1956,
and shall. remain in effect through June 30, 1967, at which time the said additional positions shall.
be abolished by the terms hereof, and thereafter the number of said positions shall revert to and
become one-half, es provided in Resolution No. 6974, adopted June 28, 1965.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the provisions of this resolution shall supersede, those por-
tions of said Resolution No. 6974, end of any other resolution in conflict herewith, and all such con-
flicting provisions are, to the exeent of such conflict only, hereby rescinded.
