Resolution 07083CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7083 CAILINC GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION 10 BE NEED IN THE CITY OF 13 1,, ON TUESDAY, MARCH 14, 1967; ESTABLISHING ELECTION PRECINCTS; FIXING NUIRBER OF ELECTION OFFICERS ON THE BOARD OF ELECTION FOR. EACH PRECINCT; FIXING COMPENSATION OF ELECTION OFFICERS AND DESIGNAYING HOURS 13 VOTING. WHEREAS, Article XIX of the Chatter of the City of Alameda provides that a General 1M loi- pal Election shalt be held in said City on Tbesday, March 14, 1967; and WHEREAS, at said General MUnicipal Election, and pursuant to the provisions of the Charter of said City, officers are to be elected to fill the Office of Councilman for two full terms. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF TUE C.ITY OF ALAMEDA that a General MURi- cipal Election be, and is hereby called and ordered to be held in said City of Alameda, State of California, on Tuesdaym March 14, 1967, in accordance with the provisions of said Charter of the City of Alameda, for the purpose of electing the following named offNcers of the City for the terms specified: Tele (2) Councilmom on the Council of said City for two full terms, each term commencing at 7:30 o!clock p.m. on the third Tuesday in April, 1967, and continuing for four (4) years thereafter and until a successor is e1 ected. and qualified. and for the purpose of voting on any measures or propositions which may lawfrily.be submitted at said election. BE IT FURIPER RESOLVED that the fifty-seven (57) election procirots within the City of Alameda, designated and numbered as the same were last heretofore defined, fixed and established by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda, State of California, a8 the election precincts within the Oity of Alameda for holding General State and County- Elections, be, and the same are hereby, fixed, designated and established as the election precincts for holding the aforesaid General Municipal Election, BE IT FU13HIR RESOLVED that the Board of Election for each election precinct at said General Municipal Blsctibn sh-13 ll. conoist of one Inspector, one judge and two Clerks. BE IT 13 RESOLVED that the compensation to be paid to each of the election officers for conducting said General Municimal Election be, and the an is herebyp fixed at the aua of Fourteen ();14.) Dollars; provided, that the additional 2UM of Two ($2.) Dollaxm shall be paid to the election officer who delivers tbe returns to the City Clerk. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the polls et the polling places hereafter to be designated by the Council for said election shall be opened at 7:00 o,clook a.m. (R.S.T.) of said day- of election and shall be kept open. continuously thereafter until 7:00 oiclock p.m. (H.S.T.) of said day- of election when the polls shall be closed (except as provided. in Section. 14)36 of the (3alifurnia Elections Code) and the election officers shall thereupon proceed to canvass the ballots cast thereat and the returns of said election shall be made out and signed by the election officers and shall be by them deposited with the City Clerk, together with the ballets cast at said election. RESOLVED, FURTHER, that this Council. shall meet at its usual meeting place and C.W11:SS said returns on T('esday., the 21st day of March, 2E67, (being the first Exesday after said General Munici- pal Electien and the date of the first regular meeting of the Council following said General. Munici- pal Election) at the hour of 7:3C, cicieck p.m. (P.S.T.) and declare the resuits of sail General Municipal Election. RESOLVED, FDRIlirik, that the COty Clerk be , and sale is hereby, directed to do and perform any and all acts required of her under the Charter of the City of Alameda and the laws of the State of California in respect to said General Municipal Electio RESOLVED, FURTHER, that said General Manieipal Eaection called and ordered to be held, as aforesaid, shall be held and conducted, and the votes cast thereat received and canvaseed, and the returns thereof made, and the results thereof ascertained, determined and declared, as herein pro- vided, and in all perticulams not recited herein, in accordance with the Charter of said City of Alameda and the laws of the State of California governing said General Munioipal Electinkm I, the undersigned, hereby- certify- that the foregoing Resolbtion was duly and regularly introduced and adopted. by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the 17th day of January, 1.967, by the '1 '1 vote, to wit: AIES: Councilmen Bertleym Ia Croix, jr., McCall and Vice President Rose, (4).
