ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANE FOR
THE CONSTRUCTI0N OF TEE CENTER PORTION OF ISIMND DRIVE FROM
MECARTNRY ROAD TO FIR AVENUE, CAIRINO FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING,
CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE SAME.
WEEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specificatians, Special Provisions and Plans for
the construction of the center portion o' Island Drive fran Mecartney Road tp Fir Avenue, numbered
PE 3-67-8, and. filed in the office of the City Clerk on May 2, 1967;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED 17' THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid
Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are
hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and completion of the work specified in said
Sgecifications and Provisions be and the same is hereby authorized.
BE IT FIR= RESOLVED that the Council. of the City of Alanda will receive sealed bids up
to the hour of 11:00 o'clock a. m- on FRIDAY, MAY 26, 1967, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the. work hereinabeve referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in the City
Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, 'Proposal for Con-
struation of the Center Portion of island. Drive from Mecartney Road to Fir Avenue," or sinifag
designation.
Contract, it awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. Ihe right is reservGd to
reject any. or all bids.
Safi Specifications and. Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed. to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of thia resolution and of said Specifications and
Provlsions.
I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adapted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
2nd day of May, 1567, by the following votG, to wit:
