CRLIINC DER 31D8 NHS EBONY ADVERTISING FOR THE CITY OF ALAMEDA
FOR 1 0 1 ISCAL YEAR 1967-1968.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LiVOTEDA that said Council will receive sealed bids
up to the hour of 11:00 a.m. on CITUFSDAYR JUNE 1, 1967, for the publivation of all legal advertising
of said City- during the fiscal. year ending June 30, 1968.
Such advertising must be published in a newspaper of geferal circulatien published in the
City of Alameda for a period of not less than one year inmediately preceding the making of such bid
and having a bona fide ',paid circulation of at least 1,000 copies.
Said advertising shall be in. accordaroe with the following specifidatidns:
(1.) All advertisements shall be set in solid sikAToint (nonpareil) type, Ra columns of
24 ails to the line and. 288 ems to the column inch, except that by request of the officer authorizing
the same such advertisement may be set An such larger type and with such spacing between lines as such
officer may direct;
(2) Titles and sub-headings shall be set in six-point capitals (nonpenei), bikuk-faue
type, or in such larger type as may be specified by the officer authorizing the advertisement.
Bidders shall state in their proposals for doing said legal advertising the price per
column inch of 288 ems, set in solid. six-point (nonpareil) type, in columns of 24 ems to the line,
according to the following schedule:
price per column inch for the ist insertion;
A price per column inch for the 2nd insertion;
A price per cold= Loch for the 3rd and. for each mibsequent insertion.
Bidu must be presented. to the City Clerk in the City Hell, Alameda, Californim, under
sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, 'Proposal for Legal Advertising--Fiscal Year 1967-
1968k"
Contract for endh legal advertising, if awarded, kill be awarded subject to the provisions
of the Charter of said. City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The
right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
The newonaper published by the bidder to whom such contract is awarded sha'l be Xnown, for
the team of such contract, as the "Officlal Newspaper" of the City for legal adbertising.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a. netime call-
ing for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this resolution.
