AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF CONTRACT' WITH AI4MEDA CHAMBER ON'
COMMERCE FOR ADVERTISING FOR THE FECAL YEAR ENDIIII EJNE 30,
1968, AND APPROPRIATING THERENOR THE SUM OF $17,465.00, OR
AS MUCH THEREOF AS MAY BE REQUIRED.
WHEREAR, the Alameda Chamber of Commerce is Willing to undertake the knrk of advertising
the City of Alameda and to carry. on all the necessary public ai0 City. during the fiscal,
ear ending june GC, 1968; and
WITIRTMR, the production of such advertising and publicity requires special servines of a
professional and technical nature and, special teehnical skill and facilities;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that, the City of
Alameda enter into a contract with the Alameda. Chamber of Commerce for the carrying on by said.
Chamber cf Commerce of all necessary publicity and advertising on behalf of the City- of Alameda for
the fiscal year en 2.' June 30, 1968.
RESOLVED, FURTHER, that a for of contract to be entered into by and. between the Alameda
Chamber of Commerce and the City of Alameda, submitted to the Council and filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Alameda. on Seetekter as 1967, and the terms, agreements and provisions thereof bo,
and. the same are hereby approved.
RESOLVED, FuRaT that the Mayor of the City of Alameda in hereby authorized and directed
to oxecuto, and tho City- Clerk to attest, on behalf of the City of Alameda, a contract substantially
in the form and containing the covenants, agreements and provisions set forth in the aforesaid form
of contract.
RESOLVED, TEENER, that pursuant to Ordinance No. 64d, New Series, as amended by Ordinance
No, 962, New Series, the sum of $17,465.00, or as much thereof as may be required, be, and is hereby
appropriated out of the General Fund of the City- to be used for publidity or advortising for said
City for the fiocal year ending June 30, 1968, in the manner and for the purposes provided in said
Ordinance No, 641, New. Series, as amended.
