FEES TO PROVIDE INCREASED MONIES FOR BAY AREA MARIE TRANSIT

BE IT RESOLVED (3' THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OE ALAMEDA that this Council hereby declares its
strong oppo sition. to the proposal to increase motor vehicib registration fees for the purpose of
devoting revenues derived therefrom to the financing of the Pay Area Rapid Transit Dietrict system,
and further declares opposition to any other contemplated financing action to provide increased
revenue for said District unless such, action is used upon an equitable levy of costs upon direct
beneficiaries of' said syetem.
I, the undersigned, hereby certity that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regUlarly
introduced and adopted by the Council of (1, City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled. on the
