ASSESSMENTS A. LIEN ON SAID PROPERTIED, ORDERIE0 , CITY ENGINEER
TO MAKE CERTIFICATE AND NOTICE OF SAID TIEN AND FIEll SAME MIEN
CITY TAX COLLECTOR.
WHEREAS, the City Engineer and ex-officio Superintendent of Streets has filed his Report
specifying the work which has been done, the cost of construction, and the assessment against each
lot or parcel of land proposed to be levded to pay said. cost, in the Fitchburg Avbnue-Beach Road
Improvement District; and
FEIRIME, after notice of said Report duly given to affected property (mamars, this Council
held a hearing thereon and confirmed said Report on November 21, 1W6S:
110. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BE COUNCIL OF THE C.IVE or /31 1. that the following
findings, determinations and orders be and are hereby made fun the matter of the Fitchburg Avenne-Feach
Road improvement District:
(1) The total cost and assessment of t constructiwn of the work dcne in said District

(2) The descriptien of the lots of land in front 1 31 hich. said work has been performed is:
Ali those parcels of land abutting the following described streets: Beach Read
from Fitchburg Avenue to a point 210 feet northwesterly from the northwesterly
line of Fitchburg Avenue and Fitchburg Avenue from Beauh Read to Maitland Drive;
as said Road, Avenue and Drive now exist, in. the City of Alameda, County of
Alameda, State of California.
(3) Ile assessment of said cost against each let or parcel 0, 13110 to be levied to pay the
cost of construction

(4) Said costs so assessed are hereby confirmed and, if not paid within five (5) days from
the date of this resolution, shall constitute a special assessment, against each parcel of property.
hereinabove listEd, and shall constitute a. lien on. each said property for the respective /31 thereof.
(5) The City Engineer shall file his Certificate and notdot of lien upon said parcels, said
notice to be substantially in. the fotm of that contained in Section 589, Streets and Highways Code
of California, except that it shall provide that payments may be made in. ten or less annual eNuat
installments, as heretofore determined. and ordered by this Council pursuant to Section 5895 of said
Code,
Said Gity Engineer's Certificate and notioe of Tien shall be turned over to the Tax Collector
of the City of Alameda, as an alternative method of collection of the amounts thereof authorigod by
Section 5893 of said Code, whereupon said Tax Collector shall add the amount of assessmett, or inStall-
ment thereof, to thb next regular bill for taxes lbvied against the respective let or parcel of land,
Thereafter the amount of said liens shall. be collected at the same time and in the same
manner as ordinary City of Alameda taxes are collected, and shall be subject to the same penalties and
interest and to the same procedure under (/311 /13 and sale in case of delinquency as provided for
such ordinary' taxes,
