WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Sp cificatiens, Special Proviaions and Plans for
the installation of a storm sewer in Jay Street from Pacific Avenue to Baena Tista Avenue and. culvert
removal at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and. Arbor Street, No. FW 1-68-1, and filed in the
office of the City Clerk on January 2, 1968;
NOW THEREFORE, DE 11 RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' ALAMEDA that tFe said Specifi-
cations, Special Provisions and Plans, be, and the same are hereb y. approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and completion. of the work specified in sa:. d
Specifications and Provisiens be and the same ab hereby authorized_
DE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City- of Alameda will receivb sealed. bids up
to the hdur of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on :FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 1968, for furnishing to the City of all.
labor, materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary- for the work ±0 €010 referred to, in
accordance with saib Specifications and Provisions. Bids must be presented to the City Clerk, in
the City- Hall, Alameda, California, ander sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal
for Installation of Storm Sewer in jay Street from Patific Amenue to Buena Vista Avenue and. Culvert
Removal at Pacific Avenue and Arbor Street', or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible biddbr who submits the lowest and best bid- The right is reserved. to
neje:et any or a11. bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder or application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hail, Alameda California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution. and. of said Specifications
and Provisions.
