RESOLUTION- OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 06' ALAMEDA IN MEMORIAM
TO WILLIAM M. METER.
WITH REAFTEFIT SORROW, the Counoil of the City of Alameda records the death of Ofle of its
former, loyal employees, ROTJJAY M. WALKER, of the Bureau of Elertrimitym
WHEREAS, Mr. Walker had been employed by the City of Alameda as a Lineman on SepteMber 16,
1953, and. by his earnest and constant efforts in the performance of his duties had advanced to the
position of Working Foreman, a classiTicatiun which he relinquished for less arduous work. due to the
onset of poor health, to return to that of lineman and to operate as a aubstation Operator, in vhich
capadity
e was serving at the time of his retirement on July 21, 1962; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Walker was greatly respected by hia fellow employees for his conamientioneness
and admired for his genial personality and for his partidipation in the activities of his Church.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in recognition of the faithful servide given by- Mr.
Walker during the fourteen years of his employment with the City- and. the friendly spirit whidh pre-
vailed botween him and his associates, t Council of the City of Alameda does hereby express its
gratitude and ito sense of personal loss in the death of this former employee.
DE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this reeolution be spread. in full upon the mimmtes of this meet-
ing and a copy thereof be sent to the family of JAM. Walker in. order to extend to its members a sinoere
expression of sympathy in theim bereavement.
BE IV' FURTHER RESOLVED that when this meeting of the Council of the City of Alamoda adyourns,
it shall do so in respect to the memory of WilIjAM M. WALSER.
