RESOLUTION OF IRE COUNCIL Oh TEA CITY OF ALAMEDA IN MEMORIAM
TO IeRCE HOWARD.
WITH GREAT SADNESS, the Council of the City of Alameda records the death of one of its
former, faithful. empleyees, LeROY UONARD.
WEREAS, Mr. floNard had been employed by the City of Alameda on August 28, 195d, as a.
Laborer in the Street Department, and had performed him duties conscfentionsly and most efficiently
untii heal+L forced him to retire on April )4, 196A; and
WHEREAS, "Jackf Howard, as he was known, had always been a most friendly. and obliging
person and had been well liked by all of his fellow npimyees.
NOW, ITEREELaII, RE If RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda. does hereby
express its appreciation for the reliable service given by NY. Howard duming, the period of his
employment, with the City of Alameda ancl its sense of personal loss in his passing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOIVED that this resolution be spread in full. upon the minutes of thia
meeting and a copy thereof' be sent to the family of' Mr. Ecaterd in order to extend to its members
sincere condolence in. their bereavement.
DE FURTHER, RESOLVED that when this meeting of' the Council of the City of Alameda adjourns,
it ahall do so in respect to the memory of LeROT (jACK) HOWARD.
