MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HEED TUESDAY, JUNE 4, 1968, ELLIE THE PRINMET ELECTION Or' THE IMERE, OF CALIFORNIA TO BE !MEIJI ON TUESDAY, YUNE 4 1968 BE TT RESOLVER BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY CE AIMMEDA that pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 4, Part 2, Division 12, of the Elections Code of California, and of Section 213302 thereof, and pursuant to Article XIX of the Charter of the City of Alameda, a Special MUnicipel Election for the purpose of submitting to the electorate certain Chartbr amendments as set forth in the statements of the questions hereinbelow, be consolidated with the Primmry Eleotipn of the State of California to be held Tuesday, June 4, i968. BE IT PERT= RESOIVEC that the election precincts, polling places, toting booths, and electibn offiners who shall conduct said Special Municipal ElectRon are hereby designated to be the same as the election precincts polling places, voting booths, and. eleCtien officers as shall be designated, established and appointed by resolution or ordinance of' the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda for the purpose of holding and. conducting said Primary Election within. the territory affected. by this order of consolidation, and. that said election shall be held in alA respect as if there were only one elbction. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the exact form of the questions or propositions, which are semen (7) in number, to be voted on at such Primary Election, and as the same are to appear on the ballot, are as follows: MEASURE A. Shall the Charter of the City of Alameda be amended. to provide that the monetary lErit for expenditure for the purchase of materials, and supplies, or for the making of public work or improvement, be increased from the present limit of $1,000.00 to such limit as sho ll. not exceed that provided for by state law for cities? (State law- nuw provides for a $2,500.00 limit.) Said amendment. will be accomplished by adding Section M-f.D.i to said Charter, all as fully set forth in Resolution No. 7293 of the Council of the City of Alameda. ..... ........e. MEASUBE C, ALTERNATE ONE Shall the Charter o the City- of Alameda be amended to provide that the Mayor of the City of Alameda be an elective office, that said Mayor shall receive compensation therefor in such amount as may be established by ordinance but not exceeding $600.00 per month, and that the City Council thereafter consist of such elected Mayor and four elected Councilmen?
