CALLING FOR BIDS FOR TEGAL 12 FOR. THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA FOR TEE FISCAL YEAR 1968-1969.
RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AIENEDA that said Council will receive sealed bids
up to the hour of 11:00 a.m. on FRIDAY, MAY 24, 1968, for the publication of all legal advertising
of saiG City during the fiscal yuar ending June 30, 1969.
Such advertising mmst be publiuhed in a newspaper of general circulatibn Gail imbed in the
City of Alameda for a period of not luss than one year immediately preceding the making of suoh bid.
and having a bona fide paid circulation of at least 1,000 copies.
Said adourtising shall be in accordance with the following specifications:
(1) All advertisements shall be set in solid six-point (nonpareil) type, in columns of
24 emo tc the line and 288 ems to the column inch, except that by request of the officer authorizing
the same such aGvertisement may be set in stmh larger type and. with such spacing between lines as
such officer may direct;
(2) Titles and sub-headings shall be set in six-point capitals (nonpareil), 3'1' 121'(
type, or in such larger type as may be specified b', the officer authorizing the advertisement.
Bidders shall state in their proposals for doing said lega12 . advbrtising the price por column
inch of 288 ems, set in solid six-point (nonpareil) type, in columns of 24 eng to the line, accord-
ing to the following schedule:

Contract for such. legal advartising, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions
of the Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right
is reserved to reject any Or ail. bids.
The newspaper publiuned by the bidder to whom sucn contract is awarded shall be known, for
the term of such contract, as the "OfiGoial Uewspaper" of the City for legal. advertising.
The City, Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the klameda Times-Star, a notice call-
ing for sealed bids in accordance with the provisions of this resolution.
