BE IT RESOINED BY LHE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that, Section 2 of Resolution No. 735e,
adopted June 18, 1968, be and hereby in amended by creating twenty-four (24) new positinns of Appara-
tus Operator in the Elre Department, a8 follows;

BE IT FURTHER, 0 ESOL7ED thnt as each said position of Apparatus Operator in the Fire Depart-
ment, as herein created, ia filled, one position of Fireman in said. Department shall be thereupon
deleted, it being the intent of this amendment that the filling of one or more of said positions of
AppaIntue Operator shall result 1 the reduction in and eliddnation of a lhke number of positions
of said Fireman.
BE FORTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of tills Resolution shall be Septeather 1,
1968.
199 )9 FURTHER RESOLVED that 10 500 of this Resolution shall supersede those portichs
of Resolution No. 735o, and of any Griner resolution in conflict herewith, and ant such '01 69
provisions are, to the extent of such, conflict only, hereby repealed_
