SUPPORTING REQUEST Of SAE FRANCISCO BAY AREA RAPID TRANSIT
DISTRICT URGING SPECIAL CESSION OP LEGISLATURE
WEERERS, by its Reaolution No. 1171 the San. Franciscd bay Area Papind Train:Rib Dbstrict has
respectfully. urged the Gdvernor of the State of California to convena the state Legidiature for the
purpose of enacting legidlatipn. concerninE completion of the sa.le District's system; and
WHEREAS, it appears to this Council from the factual recitations contained in said Resole-
tiorn reference tm which is made at this point, that Haid -H-rct,s request for such special
session id ih. the best public interest and. should be. suppoorted.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT .17301VED BY THE COUNCIL OF 1PE CM: OE' ALAMEDA that the City of
Alameda. hereby joins in. and. ponnum with the request of the San Francisco Bay Area Rapfdi Transit
Distridt hereinabove referred. to; and.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Gity Clerk shall transmit certified copies of' thole reso-
lution to the Governor of the State of California, and to the Rreoident of said District.
