APPROVING AND ADOPTING, A BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1968-1969;
APPROPRIATING CERTAIN MONEYS FOR THE EXPENDITURES PROVIDED 1E
SAID BUDGET FOR SAID FISCAL PEAR AND RATIFYING CERIDAIN
EXPENTREURES HERETOFORE MARE
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to and filed with this Council, at this meeting, a budget
representing a finmncial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1863 and ending June 30, 196D, which budget is marked "Filed with the City Clerk
in open meeting of the City Council, September 3, 1968";
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BI DIE COP:NEIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said budget as
submitted to this Council at this meeting, and each and every hart thereof, be, and the same is
hereby, approved and adopted as the budget for the City of Alameda for the fiscal year 1968-1969,
and that the expenditures of the various sums of money therein provided. to be spent for salaries and
wages, maintenance and operation, and capital cetlayv by each department as therein listed in detail,
are hereby approved and authorized an total., by the above object, classtficatign, as the appropplatichs
for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1969,
BE IT "'METRE; RESOLTED that there be, and are hereby, aeprepriated for the fiscal year 1968-
1869, the specified sums for the purpose c' meeting the cost of salaries and wages paid mfficers End
empleyees, the cost of madyntenance, opermtion, and for equipment and other capital outlay of the
respective departments, divisions, offices and boards of the Cdtyv and for ail other purposes desig-
nated in said budget for the respective purposes of the said departments, diwdsions, offices ano . boards
of the City, and for such special funds and other purposes designated in saig budget; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that. all of the appropriations herein provieed for are made oui of
the General Fund for the fiscal year M968-1969, except those made to or for purposes for which special
funds are established, and as to such last mentioned purposes said approuriations arc made out of the
special funds respectively eatabiished therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such expenditures as may halre been mane by. the seyeral depart-
ments, divisions, offises and. boards of the City after the beginning of the fiscal year 1968-1969 and
prior 00 0 he adoption of this resolution, and have been or may be duly approved by the City Auditor,
are hereby ratified, confirmed and approved, and shall be respectively charged against, the appropria-
tions herein and En said budget provided for.
