RESOLUTION OF' THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AIANEDA. IN MEMORIAM
10 EARL C. EORTOD
WITH HEARTFELT GRIEF, the Cot-mica cf the City of Alameda records the death of one of its
most loyal and civiamminded citiaens, EARL C. MORTON.
WHEREAS, Mr. Borton was very highly esteemed for his perscmal concern for the welfare of
the community and fom 1 leadership in his chosen fibld in the business life of the City.; and
HEREAS, Mr. Berton had served the City faithfully and diligently, fror. the date of hiu
appointment as a member of the City Planning Board on April 1.8, 19457, until he found it necessary to
resimn on July 1, 1953; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure on the Poard Mr. Berton sersEd as its President and constantly
advocated the highest principles of planning in the desElopment of the City-.
MOWN TNEREIRE, EE IN RESOLVED that, in recognition of MT. Borton69 generous contribution
of time and effort on behalf of the functions of the 03 1, thm Council of the City of Alameda hereby
exTresses its sense of personal loss and its gratefulness for Mr. Borton,s excellent and uthielfish
serviee in the interests of the City.
DE IT EMI= RESCINDED that this Resolution be spreaP in full upon the minutes of this

sincere sympathy in their bermavement.
BE IT FORTIER RESOLVED that when this meeting of the Council of the City of Alamedd
