Resolution 07451CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO, 7451 DECLARING CANVASS OF PABTURNS AHD RESULT OP dENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION CONSOLIDATED WIT"' SPECIAL MUNICIPAL CHARTER AMENDMENT ELECTION HELD ON MARCE 11, 1969. WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election consolidated with. a Special Municipal Charter Amendment Elnction was held in the City of Alameda on Tuesday, March 11, 1069, undnr and. pursuant to the provisions of•Article XIX of the Charter of said City, for the purpose of electing officers to fill tne office of Councilman, Auditor, Treasurer and member of the Board of Education, and for the purpose. of submitting to the qualified electors of said. City the question of amending the Charter of the City of Alammda, as set forth. hereinafter:. Three (3) Councilmen on 40 1) Council of said City for throe (3) full terms, each term commencing at 6:00 o'clock p.m., on the third Tuesday in April, 1969, and. continuing for four (e) years thmreafter, and until a successor is elected and qualified; One (1) Councilman on the Council of said City, for one (1) unexpired term commencing at 6:00 o'cloca p.m., on the third Tuesday in April, 1969, and continuinx for two (2) years taereafter ana until a successor 40,3 elected and qualified. MEASURE A Shall the Charter of' the City of Alameda be amended. to authorize the Council, by ordinanee, to; transfer to the County of Ala.mede, by contr.act or other arrangement, any or ail of the tax assessing and. tax collecting functions and. services of the City? Such of the City's functions and. services as are transferred. would be suspended while being furnished by the County, but the City retains the right to reassume any or all of the transferred functions and services.
