WHEREAS, on May. 1.3, 1965 tho Ebard of Trustees of Tlh,y Farm isiend.
Reclamation District No. .2105 reported to the Council of the City of Alameda said
Boardws orikainal for reclamation of lands within said District, together with. an
estimate of the cost thereof; and
WhEREA, on Moron 13 , 1969, said. Board. of Trustees reported to the
Council. its amended reciamatlon 4.ran, by' filing with the City Clerk two cobles thereof,
pursuant to and in the mhnnur provided in suctions 51003 and 51040 of the WaternCodp of
thh State of California; and
WHEREAS, said amended reclamation plho (0'') '7 a revised estimate of the
cost of the contemplated works, including incidental exTenses, maintenance and repairs,
necessary for the reclamhtion of District lands; and
WEEREAS, sections 51230 and 51231 of the Water Code provide that when a plan
of reclamation has been adopted by a district and reported. to tbe Council ir the manner
hereinabove tdescribed, the Council. shall appoint three assessment commissioners who have
no interest in any real estate within teu district, which assessmhnt commissioners shall
view a1 d. assess apon the district lands the sum estimated. to be the cost of the recla-
mation plan and apportion said. sum according to the benefits that will accrue to each
parcel by reason of the expenditure of salh sum; and
WHEREAS, the Council is therefore now required by law to apphint assessment
commiseihners to assess ubhp thh lanes in said District tne sum estimated to be the cost
of said amended reclamation plan;
THEREFORE:, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City .of Alameda. as
felapws:
1. The following named persons, one of whom 13 known or believed to have
any interest in any real estate within Bay Farm Island +11 1")')) District Ne. 2105,
are heroh3 appointed Assessment Commissioners to view and assess upon the land within
said District the' total sum estimated to be tae cost of said amended reolemetion plan,
which SUM, tO wit, t176,427,92P, is set fortb in Section 'j of said plan, and to ap-
portion said sum. a000rding to the benefits that will accrue to each parcel by reason
of the expenditure thereof:

2. Nhch of said ohrsons, before entering upon ale duties as Assessment
Commissioner, shall male and subscribe an o1 th. toat he is not in any manner interested
in any rnal estate within Bay Farm island Roclhmation District No. 2105', directly or
indirectly, and that he will perform the duties of a commissioner to the best of biz
ability.
3. Said Assessment Commissioners shall '7710' a list of the cher,pes assessed
against each bhrsol, in tho manner provided in section 51239 of the Water Code, and
file the same, when completed, with the City Clerk, as provided ''7 section 51242 of tha
Water Code, whereupon thb Council shall appoint a. time when it will meet for the pur
pose of hearing any objections to the assessment.
