CALIIBC FOR BIDS FOR IPTIAL ADVERITSING FOR 11E CITY OF ATAMEDA
FOR TEE FISCAL YEAR 1969-1970
33.. IT RESOLVED IST THE COUNCIL OF TIME CITY OF AIMNEDA that said Council will receive
sealed bids up to the hourr of 11:00 a-m. on TUESDAY, KAI 27, 1969, for the publication of all
legal advertising of said City during the fiscal year ending June 80, 1970.
Such advartising must be published in a newspaper of general circulation published in
the City of Alameda for a period of not less than one year immediately preceding the making of
such bid and. having a bona fide paid circulation of at least 1,000 copies.
Said advertisisg shall be in accordance with the following specifiriations:
(") All advertisements shall be set in solid s'a-point (nonpareil) typo, in columns
of 24 ems to the line and 288 0115 to the column inch, except that by request of the 3.1 €. autho-
izing the same such advertisement may be set '' such larger type and with ouch spacing between
lines as such officer may direct;
(2) Titles ang sub-headng shall be set, in side-point capitals (nonpareil.), black-fage
type, or in such larger type as may be specOfied by the officer authoriaing the advertisement.
Bidders shall state in their propesals for doing said legal advertising the price per
olumn. inch of 2H8 ems, set in solid 1',, «'1 (nonpareil) type, in columns of 24 ems to the lane,
according to the following schedule:
A price per column inch for the ist insertion;
A price per column in:An for the 2nd "0" ''1
A price per column inch for the 3-ra and for each subsequent insertion.
Bids mast be presented to the City Clerbx in the City- Hall, Alameda California, nnder
sealed. cover and plainly marked on tne outsid3. , APropcsal for Legal Advertising—Fiscal Year

Contract for such legal advertising, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions
of the Charter of said City, to the responsible bidder who submits the 'lowest and best bid_ The
right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
The Newspaper published by the 110 '1 to whoa such contreot is awarded shall be knobn, for
the term of such contract, as the "Official Newspaper" of the City for legal advertising.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a netioe cal:Ling
for sealed bids accordance with the provisions of this resolution.
