RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL 0 IRE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN MEMORIAM
TO HERBERT P. BROOKS. IRPTIBLED CITY EMPLOYEE
WihM GREAT SORROW, the Council of the City of Alameda records the death of one of its
former employees, HERBERT P. BROOKE, retimed Nurseryman.
MUTHEAS, Mr. Brooks had been employed by-the City of Alameda on October 1, 1918, as a
Laborer and Truok Driver and, o August 1, 1840, was appointed to the position of Nurseryman, in
which capacity he was serving at the Limo ill health forced him to seek retirement on November 4,
1994: and
HEREAS, 1'. Brooks had been a consciedtIod5 and loyal unploybe, most friendly and
cooperative with Wil of his fellow workers and other associates, and had retained a genuine
interest in the activities of City employees after his retirement.
DOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Alameda dues hereby
recognize with truu appreciation the wholehearted efforts of thi5 fine man during his tadrty-six
years of dmmpetent service, and does also express its sense of lass in Fiu passing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution be spread in full. upon the minutes of this
meeting and a copy thereof be sent to the family of Mr. Brooks ln order to extend to its mombers
sincere condolence tn their bereavement.
