RESOLUTION OE' THE COUNCIL OF 'EDE CITI OE' ALAMEDA IN MEMORIAM.
TO THOMAS F. DAbh RETIRED cm- EMPLOYEE
IN A SPIRIT 7 SADNESS, the Council of the City of Alameda reoords the duath of one of its
former loyal empldyees, THOMAS F. DAT.
WHEREAS, Mr. Days after intermittent service with the City of Alameda from 1917 to 193r,
had commenced his permanent amployment in the Engineering Department DIA October 1, 1936, as a. Junior
Civil Engineer, and had performed hie dnties conscientiously and most efficihntly Imtda his retirement
on SepteMber 30, 1955; and,
WHEREAS, ”Tommy" Day, as he was known, had always been a most friendly and. obliging person,
particularly- well—Tiked by his fellow emplmyees for his ready wit and kindly humor.
NOWL THEREFORE, BE IT RESOINND that the CounciE of the City- of Alameda does hereby express
its appreciation for the reliable service given by Mr. Day during the period of his employment with
the Gity and its sense of personal loss in his passing.
ME IT FURTHER, RESOLVED that this resolution be spread in full upon the minutes of this
meeting and a copy thereof be sent to the family 1 Mr. Day in order to extend to its members sincere
condolence in their bereavement.
