APPOINTING TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING OBJECTIONS TO THE ASSESSMENT,
AS CHANGED, IN THE SUM OF $23,500,000 IN BAY FARM ISLAND RECLAMATION
DISTRICT NO. 2105
WHEREAS, the Assessment Commissioners appointed by this Council to view and assess upon
the lands in Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No. 2105 the sum estimated to be the cost of the
Amended Reclamation Plan, as amended, on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City and to
apportion said sum according to the benefits accruing to each parcel as provided by law, completed
such assessment and filed a list of charges assessed against each parcel with the City Clerk of the
City of Alameda as required by law;
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 7520, adopted August 5, 1969, this Council appointed Tuesday,
the 2nd day of September, 1969, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. of said day, at the Council Chambers
of the Council of the City of Alameda, City Hall, Alameda, Alameda County, California, as the time
and place when and where this Council would meet for the purpose of hearing any objections to said
assessment;
WHEREAS, notice of such hearing was duly given by publication once a week for two (2)
successive weeks in the ALAMEDA TIMES-STAR, a newspaper of general circulation, published in the City
of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California, and the matter of said assessment and thc
objections thereto having come on regularly for hearing on the 2nd day of September, 1969, at the hour
of 7:30 o'clock P.M.,; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing this Council has determined, upon the recommendation and with the
concurrence of said Assessment Commissioners, to change, modify and reapportion the entire assessment,
and has caused a changed, modified and reapportioned list of charges assessed against each parcel to
be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda this date;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda, as follows:
Section 1. Tuesday, the 7th day of October, 1969, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock, P.M. of said
day at the Council Chambers of the Council at the City Hall, City of Alameda, Alameda County, State
of California, be and the same are hereby appointed the time and place when and where this Council will
meet for the purpose of hearing any objections to said assessment as changed.
Section 2. Notice of such hearing shall be given by Publication once a week for two (2)
successive weeks in the ALAMEDA TIMES-STAR, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City
of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of California.
Section 3. Such notice of hearing shall be substantially in the following form:

TO THE ASSESSMENT, AS CHANGED, IN BAY FARM ISLAND RECLAMATION
DISTRICT NO, 2105
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an assessment in the aggregate amount of $23,500,000 upon the
lands within Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No. 2105 has been completed by the Assessment
Commissioners appointed to view and assess upon the District land the sum estimated to be the cost of
the Amended Reclamation Plan, as amended, on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Alameda and to apportion the same as provided by law and that the assessment list setting forth e list
of the charges assessed against each parcel, filed with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda. County
of Alameda, State of California, has been changed, modified and reapportioned by the Council of the
City of Alameda, and said assessment list as changed was filed with said City Clerk on the 2nd day of
September, 1969, and is now on file therein and open to public inspection; and
NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the Council of the City of Alameda has appointed, and does
hereby appoint Tuesday, the 7th day of October, 1969, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P.M. of said day at
the Council Chambers of the Council of the City of AlamPda, City Hall, City of Alameda, Alameda County,
State of California, as the time and place when and where said Council will meet far the purpose of
hearing any objections to the assessment as changed. At any time before said hearing, any person
interested in land upon which any charge has been assessed may file a written objection to the assess-
ment, which shall state the grounds of objection and be verified as provided by law. At such hearing
said Council shall hear any evidence offered in support of written objections and may approve said
assessment or may modify or amend the assessment, or make a reapportionment of the entire assessment.

Section 4. The City Clerk of the City of Alameda is hereby authorized and directed to cause
such notice of hearing substantially in the form hereinabove set forth to be published as aforesaid,
and further, to cause such notice of hearing to be mailed to each known owner of land in Bay Farm
Island Reclamation District No. 2105 as shown on said changed, modified and reapportioned list of
charges assessed, unless written consent of all such landowners to the hearing hns been filed with
the City Clerk, provided that since the mailing of such notice is not required by statute this
Council hereby requires the mailing of such notice for purposes of information.
