APPOINTING THOSE NommAaan AS TRUSTEES OF' RAY' FARM ISLAND
RECLAKATION DISTRICT NG. 2109.
WHEREAS, pursuant to law the Secretary of the Board. of Trustees of Bey' kErm Island Reclama-
tabn District No. 2106, at least seven days prior to the final date for receiving petitions, duly
published. notice that naainatang petitions for the office of trustee would be received not later than
September 1,1, 1969 (said date being the 54th day before an election to be held in saiD
District on Bassday, November 4, i969);
WU:AREAS, only two petitions for office of trustee were filed by said tams and. date;
WUEREAS, the number of trustees to be elected at said election as two, and the number of
nominees doea not exceed the number of trustees to be elected; and
HEREAS, a petition signed by 5 (or any other) per cent of' the
voters requesting that the
eleetien be held has net been presented to the Board of Trustees of said District;
NOW, TIEBBEFORE, LE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City ef Alameda, as tbliows:
Section. 1. Pursuant to Section 60240 of the Water Code of the State of 3'O3-1 3., an
election shall not be held in Bay 'a -n Island Reclamation District NO. 2106 on November 4, 1969, for
the purpose of elbstang trustees of aaid District.
Section 2. The persens duly nominated for the positions of' trustee, namely James B. Davis
and James S. Hughes, are each hereby appointed te the offioe of' trustee of Bay FaEm islsud Reclamation
District No. 2105, their tamp of offise tb be for a term. of four years cammending NovemBer 4, 1969.
