RESOLIJICUN Of' IEE COUNCIL OF ENE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN APPRECIkTION
AND COMMENDATION OF SIDNEY A- HAAG FOR BIS SERVICES TO THE
CaMMLINITY
IBIS IT BE KNOWN THAT SIDNEY A. MASI, a. resident of Alameda for more than thirty years,
had been one of the Cityls most loyal and civic-minded citizens and has earned the respect and
friendship of many by his integrity and amicable personality.
WHEREAS, Mr. Haag was appointed as a meMber of the Housing Authority of the City of
Alanqda on January 5, 1954; and
=FMB, Mr. Haag resigned from the ',Authority" on Ma:fiery A, 1956, to accept immediate
appointment as a Councilman of the City- of Alameda and at the next General. Municipal Election held
March 8, 1955, wao elected to serve a four-year term on the City Council, vans in 1957 selscted as
Vice-Mayor of the City and then forced by the pressure of personal buainess to resign on August 81,
1957; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Haag subsequently served as a member of the Youth. Activities Comoittee from
June, 1959, to 11 3883 1960, and of the Redevelopkent Agency of the City' of Alameda from August,
1961, to the date of dissolutien of the Agency on October 1, 1984; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Haag performed competently- and unselfishly in the interest of the community
during his tenure on the Council and as a member of the several City commdosions, and has contriw
Muted generously of his time and experisnne fn civic and church activities.
NOW, 80 '01. BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council. of the City of Aimmeda does 11/11 "1 its estemn and appreciation for the years of notable service rendered by thia outstanding
citizen and for hio devotion or behalf of the City.

active business and their best wishes for his continued good health and happiness.
