HESOLUTION OF TEE COUNCIL OF THE (. OF ALAMEDA IN or 01
AND COMMENDATION CP WAIULY JAY.
HEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Council of the City of Alameda. that WAIIX JAY,
Head Coach of the island Judo Jujitsu Club, has been the recipient of' an awprd from the Black Belt
Magazine as the "Outstanding jujitsu, Sensed. (Coach) for 1969"; and
WEEBEAS, interest in the proficiency cf the skills of jade and jnjAitsn has becune widespread;
and
REIF:REAR, Mr. jay has earned the reputation of excelling in his field. and his students have
brought honor to thein City. and to themselves on many ocoasions by their excellwnt performance in this
sport through the dedicated guidance of their instructor; and.
',WHEREAS, Mr. jay completely exemplifies and lives by the American Jusu Institute judo
Rank Holders Code of Courtesy, Humility, FMithfulness, Loyalty, Bravery and ResponaLbility.
OW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED that, the Council of the City of Alameda hereby recognizes
with amoreciaon 1 valuable contribution of this fine man to the healthful development, of its
1' L_ and sincerely cumnends him for his ability in the sport of' judo and jujitsu, his contribution
to the art, and his outstanding spinit of sportsmanship, which. have earned for him this national honor.
1 IN' FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Coummil of the City- of Alameda extends to WALLY jAY, its
best wishes for continued success and good fortune in this worthwhile endeavor.
