APPOINTING THOME NOMINATED AS TRUSTEES ON RECIAIMTION
DISTRICT NO. 2.087
WHEREAS, pursuant to law the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Reciknation Distriot
Ho. 2067, at least seven days primr to the final date for recedying petitions, duly publiehed notice
that nomimatYng petitions for the office of trustee would be received not later than 5 p.n. on
SepteMber 11, 1969 (said date beEng the 5)th day before an election to be to in said District on
Tuesday, November A, 1969); and
WHEREAS, onEy two peons for office of trustee were filed by said time and date; and
WEEREAS, the nvnber of trustees to be elected at said election is two, and tke number of
nominees does not exceed the number of trustees to be elected; and
WHEREAS, a petition signed by 5 (or any other) per cent of the voters requesting that the
election be held has not beer presented to the Board of Trustees of said District;
NOW, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED DI TUN COUVOIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, as follows:
Section 1. 1 Pursuant to Section. 50740 of the Water Code of the State of California, an
election shall hot be held in Reclamation Distrdnt No. SOSY on November 4, 1969 for the purpose of'
electing trustees of said District.
Section 2. The persons dwly nuninated for the positions of trustee, namely John N. James
and Bruce T. Mitchell, are hereby appointed to the offioe of tnistee of Reclamation Dintriut No. 2087,
their terms of office to be for a term of four ywars commencing NoveMber A, 1969.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this ast day. of October, 1969 by the following vote:
ANDS: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Lengaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5).
