AUTHORIZING ATTORNEY GENERAL OF CALIFGRNIA TO PROSECUTE
ANTI-TRUST PROCEEDINGS, ON ILTUCUT OF CITY' OF' ALAMEDA,
AGAINSI' CERTAIN AUTOMOBILE MANUFACTURERS (MOG CONTROL
DEVICES)
BE IT 'RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITE OF ATAMEDA that the Attorney General of California,
or his authorized assistants or deputies, be, and each hereby' is, author:toed tw take such action on
behalf and, in the name of the City of Alameda, as, in his sole discretion, may be deemed appropriate
in the preparation, filing, service and prosecution of a civil antitrust suit for damages and other
legal, recovery againat certain automobile manufacturers for conspiring to retard the Introductiwn of
mnog control devices in the State of California; and
EE II' FURTEER RESOLVED that this anthorizatiwn includes t a t hority to settle such litiga-
tion on such terms az the Attorney General or his authorized assistants or deputies amy deem appropriate,
and to allocate to the City of Alameda its proper and equitable share of any sum recovmred as damages
excepting the amount of attorneys, fees, costs, and expenses incurred, Ly the Attorney General, as
deter:Timed or approved by the Couxt, whether by settlement, suit, or otherwise.
