CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7579
AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT PROVIDING
FOR COUNTY-WIDE CONSOLIDATED INTER-GOVERNMENTAL COOPERATIVE
TRAFFIC RECORDS SYSTEM
WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 1, Division 7, Chapter 5, Government Code of California, there has
been proposed an agreement among all of the municipalities in the County of Alameda, the purpose nf
which is to provide for participation by said parties in the implementation of an Electronic Data Pro-
cessing records system supplying pertinent information on all traffic accident conditions within Alameda
County in accordance with the terms of an application for Highway Safety Project Grant made by the City
of Oakland to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, National Safety
Bureau, Project No. TR 69-16-001, entitled, "Consolidated Traffic Records System"; and
WHEREAS, a copy of said proposed agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, marked,
"filed, January 6, 1970; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends this City become a party thereto, and it appearing to
this Council it will be in the best public interest for the City of Alameda to enter into the joint powers
agreement as proposed;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the instrument herein-
above referred to is approved, and the City Manager and City Clerk be, and each hereby is, authorized
to execute and to attest to, respectively, on behalf of the City, an agreement substantially in the form
on file with the City Clerk, which will provide for a County-wide consolidated cooperative Traffic Records
System.

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
6th day of January, 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and ?resident La Croix, Jr., (5).
NOES: None,
ABSENT: None.
