RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN MEMORIAM
TO GLEN LEWIS, RETIRED BUREAU OF ELECTRICITY EMPLOYEE
IN A SPIRIT OF SADNESS, the Council of the City of Alameda records the death of one of its
former loyal employees, GLEN LEWIS.
WHEREAS, Mr. Lewis had commenced his employ with the City in October, 1923, as a Lineman
for the Bureau of Electricity, and had performed his duties capably and conscientiously until ill
health had forced him to retire on April 1, 1944; and
WHEREAS, Mr, Lewis had always been a most obliging person, and had been well liked for his
friendly and cooperative attitude toward his fellow employees and associates.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda does hereby express
its appreciation for the reliable service given by Mr. Lewis during the period of his emoloyment with
the City and its sense of personal loss in his passing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread in full upon the minutes of this meeting
and a copy thereof be sent to the family of Mr. Lewis in order to extend to its members sincere
condolence in their bereavement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that when this meeting of the Council of the City of Alameda adjourns,
it shall do so in respect to the memory of GLEN LEWIS.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
3rd day of February, 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5),
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
