ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
THE IMPROVEMENT OF SANTA CLARA AVENUE, WEBSTER STREET TO
GRAND STREET, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK
TO ADVERTISE SAME
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for
the improvement of Santa Clara Avenue from Webster Street to Grand Street, No. PW 2-70-3, and filed
in the office of the City Clerk on February 17, 1970;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALMEPA that the said Snecifi-
cations, Special Provisions and Plans, be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and completion of the work specified in said
Specifications and Provisions be and the same is hereby authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids uo
to the hour of 1100 o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 1970, for furnishing to the City of all labor,
materials, machinery, tools and equipment necessary for the work hereinab ove referred to, in accord-
ance with said Specifications and Provisions. Bids must he presented to the City Clerk, in the City
Hall, Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside, "Proposal for Improve-
ment of Santa Clara Avenue, Webster Street to Grand Street," or similar designation.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of the City
of Alameda, to the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best hid. The right is reserved to
reject any or all bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to
the City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling
for sealed bids, in accordance with the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and
Provisions.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
17th day of February, 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
