SR IT RESOLVED BY ESA COURCTL iF TER CITY OF ALAMEDA as
follows;
SECTION 1. The Council of the City of Alameda Hereby
P roposes on its own action to amend the Charter of the City of
Alameda by adding Section 2-1.1 and Section 3-1.1 thereto. to
read as set fdrtb in the printed pamphlet provided for in Section
hereof, and, in the notice entitled, "Proposed Amendment to the
Charter of the City of Alameda° hereinafter set forth in Section
3 hereof,
SECTION 2, The Council of the City of Alameda oby
proposes to and does 'hereby on its own motion submit to the
qualified electors of the City of Alameda, at the Special
Municipal Charter Amendment Election hereinafter provided for. a
proposal to amend the Charter of the City o'&. Alameda set forth
in said notice hereinafter set forth in Section 3 of this r solu-

to be set forth in the form of ballot hereinafter prescribed for

MEASURE A
Shall Ode Charter of the City of Alameda be
amended to provide that the Mayor of the City
of Alameda be an elective office, that said
Mayor shall receive a monthly compensation
therefor of Two Run red Dollars 4200
and that the City Council thereafter consist
af such elected Mayor and four elected Couni
men? Such amendment will be accomplished by
adding Section 2-1.1 and Section 3-1.1 to
Charter, all as fully set forth in Resolution
No. 7E98 of the Council of the City of Alameda.
