ADOPTING SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND PLANS FOR
INSTALLATION OF HOUSE LATERALS, MINOR STREET PATCHING WITH
ASPHALT CONCRETE, REPAIR OF PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK,
DRIVEWAY, CURB AND GUTTER, FUR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30,
1971, CALLING FOR BIDS AND DIRECTING CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE

WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for the
INSTALLATION OF HOUSE LATERALS from the street laterals to the property line, and other work appurtenant
thereto, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1971, numbered PW 5-70-7, and filed with the City Clerk on
May 5, 1970; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for MINOR
STREET PATCHING WITH ASPHALT CONCRETE for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1971, numbered PW 5-70-8 and
filed with the City Clerk on Hay 5, 1970; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared Specifications, Special Provisions and Plans for REPAIR
OF PORTLAND CEMENT CONCRETE SIDEWALK, DRIVEWAY, CORD AND GUTTER for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1971,
numbered PW 5-70-9 and filed with the City Clerk on May 5, 1970;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the aforesaid Specifi-
cations, Special Provisions and Plans, numbered and filed as aforesaid, be, and the same are hereby
approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the performance and completion of the work specified in said Specifi-
cations and Provisions be, and the same is hereby authorized.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda will receive sealed bids up to
the hour of 11:00 o'clock a.m. on FRIDAY, MAY 22, 1970, for tne furnishing to the City of all labor, materials
and equipment necessary fur said work, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1971, in accordance with said
Specifications and Provisions individually prepared therefor. Aids must be presented to the City Clerk,
in the City Hall, in Alameda, California, under sealed cover and plainly marked on the outside with the
desiynation of the fiscal year work to which said bid applies.
Contract, if awarded, will be awarded subject to the provisions of the Charter of said City, to
the responsible bidder who submits the lowest and best bid. The right is reserved to reject any or all
bids.
Said Specifications and Provisions may be had by any prospective bidder on application to the
City Engineer, at his office in the City Hall, Alameda, California.
Tne City Clerk is hereby directed to advertise, in the Alameda Times-Star, a notice calling for
sealed bids in accordance w.th the provisions of this resolution and of said Specifications and Provisions.

1, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
5th day of Hay, 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (4).
NOES: None.
AbSENT: Councilman Fore, (1).
