APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ON-THE-JOB TRAINING
AGREEMENTS WITH STATE DIVISION OF APPRENTICESHIP STANDARDS
WHEREAS, the state Department of Industrial Relations, acting by and through its Division
of Apprenticeship Standards, has developed programs by which it is contemplated certain eligible
veteran and nonveteran trainees may become qualified for employment by public agencies, among other
employers; and
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the City undertake training of such persons for possible
employment as Police Officer and Fireman by the City; and
WHEREAS, the City and said Division have prepared and submitted for approval two agreements
therefor, denominated "On-The-Job Training Standards," Numbers DOT 375.268.030 (Police Officer), and
DOT 373.884.014 (Fireman), which said agreements are on file in the office of the City Clerk marked,
"filed, Decemper 16, 1969; and
WHEREAS, the contents thereof have been approved by toe City Manager, the Chief of Folice, the
Fire Chief and the Personnel Director, and it appears in the puulic interest the agreements be entered
into by the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED GY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the two agreements
hereinabove referred to are approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute same on
behalf of the City.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
19th day of May, 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5).
NOES: Nore.
ABSENT: None.
