APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE BUDGET OF THE CITY OF
ALAMEDA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1970-1971
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to and filed with this Council a tentative budget repre-
senting a financial plan for conducting the affairs of the City of Alameda for the fiscal year 1970-
1971, said budget being entitled, "Recommended Budget--City of Alameda--California--1970-1971," and
being filed with the City Clerk of the City of Alameda as of June 3, 1970; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Alameda has fully examined said tentative budget and
hereby finds that said tentative financial plan, as amended, is in the best interests of the City of
Alameda;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that said Council hereby
adopts and approves said tentative budget in the amount of $7,657,475, subject to final adoption and
approval not later than the third Tuesday in September, 1970, as required by Section 17-4 of the Charter
of the City of Alameda.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of Alameda and the Auditor of said
City are hereby authorized and directed to follow the precepts of the said tentative budget in the
interim period prior to adoption and approval of the final budget for the fiscal year 1970-1971 by this
Council in September, 1970.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in special meeting assembled on the
30th day of June, 1970, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker and President La Croix, Jr., (4).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman McCall, (1).
