Resolution 076839 5 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7683 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 6232, DESIGNATING CITY HOLIDAYS FOR MISCELLANEOUS EMPLOYEES (EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1971) BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that Resolution No. 6232, adopted June 20, 1961, which established rules and regulations relating to employees subject to the current effective Salary and Position Resolution, is hereby amended by amending subsection (g) of Section 2 thereof, to read: "(g) Except as set forth in subsection (b) hereinabove, holidays of the City for miscellaneous employees are: (1) January 1st. (2) February 12th, known as "Lincoln Day." (3) The third Monday in February. (4) The last Monday in May. (5) July 4th. (6) The first Monday in September. (7) September 9th, known as "Admission Day." (8) The second Monday in October, known as "Columbus Day." (9) The fourth Monday in October, known as "Veterans Day." (10) The fourth Thursday in November, or such Thursday in November appointed by the President or Governor, known as "Thanksgiving Day." (11) The day immediately following "Thanksgiving Day." (12) December 25th. (13) Good Friday from 12 noon to 3 p.m. (14) Any day designated by the City Council as a holiday. When a regularly scheduled or designated holiday falls upon such employee's first or second day off immediately following a normal five-day work period, he shall receive a day off in lieu of such holiday. Such day off shall be the last work day immediately pre- ceding that holiday, or the first work day immediately following that holiday." BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, upon the effective date hereof, all provisions conflicting with this resolution are repealed.
