CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7700
CANCELLING CITY TAXES ON PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE REGENTS
OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES
WHEREAS, certain real property situate in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of
California, and more particularly described as follows:
AB 239/14 - Margaret Thome, 5 100 ft. M/L lot 5, 81. F,
Map of the Powers Tract, and commonly designated as
1531 Lincoln Avenue, Alameda, California,
has been assessed heretofore for City purposes for the fiscal years 1969-1970 and 1970-1971 and taxes
levied thereon in the sums of $31.57 (Second Installment) and $59.40, respectively, are uncollected and
unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said taxes became a lien on said real property, it was, by Court Order,
recorded on January 8, 1970, on Reel 2545, Image 626 et seq., Recorder's No. 70-2222, acquired, and ever
since has been and no is owned by the Regents of the University of California, to be used for public
purposes, and because of such public ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA, with the written consent
of the City Attorney attached hereto, that all uncollected taxes charged or levied for city purposes upon
the aforesaid real property, together with penalties and costs thereon, be, and the same are hereby,
cancelled, and the Auditor and the Tax Collector of the City of Alameda are hereby authorized and directed
to cancel the same on their respective books.

I, Frederick M. Cunningham, City Attorney of the City of Alameda, State of California, do
hereby consent to the cancellation of any and all uncollected taxes and assessments, and penalties and
costs thereon, charged or levied for City purposes upon the parcel of real property described in the
within Resolution.
