REQUESTING CANCELLATION OF COUNTY TAXES ON REAL PROPERTY
ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF ALAMEDA FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES
(EAST BAY TITLE COMPANY - PARCELS OF LAND IN TRACTS 2936
AND 3015, BRADDOCK & LOGAN'S CASITAS ALAMEDA SUBDIVISION)
WHEREAS, the real property situated in the City of Alameda, County of Alameda, State of
California, described as follows:
Account No. 74- 1068 -85, Deed No. BA- 77172,
Parcel "B ", as shown on the map of Tract 2936, filed August 17, 1967, Map Book 55,
page 53, Alameda County records.
Lots "B" and "C ", as shown on the map of Tract 3015, filed June 27, 1968, Map Book 57,
page 55, Alameda County records,
has been assessed heretofore for County purposes for the fiscal year 1968 -1969, and taxes levied
thereon are uncollected and unpaid; and
WHEREAS, after the time said assessment and taxes became a lien on said real property, it
was, by Grant Deed recorded in the office of the County Recorder of Alameda County on July 16, 1968
on Reel 2218, Image 501, Serial No. BA 77172, acquired, and ever since has been and now is owned by
the City of Alameda, and has been and now is being used for public purposes and because of such public
ownership is not subject to sale for delinquent taxes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Alameda be, and it is hereby requested to make its order, and to take
such further proceedings as nay be necessary, to cause all uncollected taxes, assessments, penalties
or costs charged or levied for County purposes upon the aforesaid parcel of real property, to be
cancelled; and that a record of such cancellation be made by the officer or officers having custody
of the record thereof, in accordance with the provisions of Section 4986 of the Revenue and Taxation
Code of the State of California.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk forward four (4) certified copies of this
Resolution forthwith to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Alameda.

introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
1st day of June, 1971, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
