Resolution 078332 70 CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7833 APPOINTING THOSE NOMINATED AS TRUSTEES OF BAY FARM ISLAND RECLAMATION DISTRICT NO. 2105. WHEREAS, pursuant to law the Secretary of the Board of Trustees of Bay Farm Island Reclama- tion District No. 2105, at least seven days prior to the final date for receiving petitions, duly published notice that nominating petitions for the office of trustee would be received not later than 5 p.m. on September 10, 1971 (said date being the day after the 54th day before an election to be held in said District on Tuesday, November 2, 1971, since the 54th day is a legal holiday); WHEREAS, only four petitions for office of trustee were filed by said time and date; WHEREAS, the number of trustees to be elected at said election is four (three for a four- year term and one for a two-year term), and the number of nominees does not exceed the number of trustees to be elected; and WHEREAS, a petition signed by 5 (or any other) per cent of the voters requesting that the election be held has not been presented to the Board of Trustees of said District; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Alameda, as follows: Section 1. Pursuant to Section 50740 of the Water Code of the State of California, an election shall not be held in Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No. 2105 on November 2, 1971, for the purpose of electing trustees of said District. Section 2. The persons duly nominated for the positions of trustee, namely Franz S. Colli- schonn, Charles T. Travers, Raymond P. Kranelly and Bruce T. Mitchell, are each hereby appointed to the office of trustee of Bay Farm Island Reclamation District No. 2105. The terms of office of Franz S. Collischonn, Charles T. Travers and Raymond P. Kranelly are to be for a term of four years commencing November 2, 1971. The term of office of Bruce T. Mitchell is to be for a term of two years commencing on said date. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 1971, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5). NOES: None. ABSENT: None.
