CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7839
REJECTING CLAIM OF DOROTHY DUCKWORTH AGAINST C ITY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA that the claim for damages against
the City in the amount of $7,500.00 heretofore on September 3, 1971, filed by Dorothy Duckworth,
whose address is 943B Parrot Street, Alameda, California, be rejected in its entirety on the grounds
said claim is not a proper charge against the City; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of said rejection be in the following words and that
a certified copy of this resolution be mailed to said claimant's attorneys, Jarvis, Miller and
Brodsky, Inc., Attorneys at Law, 123 Second Street, San Francisco, California 94105:
"NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the claim which you presented to the City of
Alameda on September 3, 1971, was rejected on September 21, 1971.
WARNING
Subject to certain exceptions, you have only six months from the date
this notice was personally delivered or deposited in the mail to file
a court action on this claim. See Government Code Section 945.6.
You may seek the advice of an attorney of your choice in connection
with this matter. If you desire to consult an attorney, you should do
so immediately.'!

I, the undersigned, hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly
introduced and adopted by the Council of the City of Alameda in regular meeting assembled on the
21st day of September, 1971, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Fore, Levy, Longaker, McCall and President La Croix, Jr., (5).
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
