CITY OF ALAMEDA RESOLUTION NO. 7868
RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALAMEDA IN APPRECIATION
AND COMMENDATION OF ALAN S. HART FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE CITY
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Council of the City of Alameda that December 31,
1971, will mark the date of the retirement of ALAN S. HART as District Engineer in District 4 of the
Division of Highways of the State of California Department of Public Works; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hart's service has reflected the highest standards of dedication to and competence
in the field of Civil Engineering and the responsibilities of his position; and
WHEREAS, under the leadership of Mr. Hart many notable improvements have been accomplished
in the Highways System which have greatly benefited the people of the City and of the State.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda hereby commends this
devoted public servant for the outstanding ability and cooperation he has displayed in the performance
of his duties and expresses its appreciation for his valuable contribution to the needs and interests
of the people of the City and of the State during his forty-two years of employment with the Division.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Alameda hereby extends to Mr. Hart
sincere felicitations upon his retirement and best wishes for his continued good health and happiness.
